Union Pacific’s Eastern leg schedule shows the locomotive departing Monday, May 5, from Cheyenne, Wyoming., and reaching Omaha by May 29.
The public can see it at Ninth and Leavenworth streets in Omaha from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 30. Parking is available at a garage at 555 Jones St.

The locomotive leaves Omaha at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 31, and will arrive in Denison at 11:30 a.m. for a public viewing at the South Main Street crossing. It will depart for Carroll at noon.
The tour also includes major display events in Chicago; Fostoria, Ohio; Buffalo, New York; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Philadelphia — where a Fourth of July celebration is planned. On the return trip, the route adds major display events in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and St. Louis.
More than 50 whistle-stops across 10 states are planned.

U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst recently visited two business in Southwest Iowa she recognized through her Small Business of the Week recognition program.
Ernst is chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, according to a news release, and has been recognizing a small business in each of Iowa's 99 counties.
In Shelby County, she stopped by Sunset Scoops in Harlan. On X, she posted the shop is "adding flavor to downtown Harlan scoop by scoop."
