A group of international artists has sent artwork to the International Space Station, seeking to connect science and art in their practices and to inspire future generations. Holo Art Collective, founded in Canada, consists of artists from 30 countries on five continents. Organizers say the group includes professional artists but also those who come from a variety of other backgrounds, including entrepreneurs, engineers and even children. In March, SpaceX delivered to the International Space Station the technology that allowed the “Art in Space” project to transmit images to space. The artwork includes paintings, drawings, neuro-designed creations and AI-generated pieces. Organizers call it the first-ever art collection in space.
