Boulder, platform and plaque to mark actress’s home
Pat Houston, in the gray sweatshirt, owner of property a few miles south of Denison on Donna Reed Road, watches as workmen place a huge boulder found across a creek on the property. It was moved to a concrete pad installed by Petersen Mfg. near the entrance to the land. Donna Reed, the former Donnabelle Mullenger during her school years in Denison, was born on the property and raised in the wooden structure home that was destroyed by fire long after Mullenger lived there. Chris Petersen, right, takes photos of the event, in which he is also involved. The stone will be chiseled enough to make space for a bronze plaque to be attached to the boulder.
