Monona County Sheriff Kevin Ewing told The Journal Tuesday afternoon the town of Rodney has stayed mostly dry and residents are expected to be allowed to return later today.
Rising floodwaters have prompted the Iowa Department of Transportation to announce road closures Tuesday on Interstate 29 and I-680.
Federal disaster assistance is now available to the state of Iowa. Federal funding is currently available to residents of Clay, Emmet, Lyon, Plymouth and Sioux County.
