The 2024 ACC Tournament takes place from March 12-16 at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. Below is our preview for the event along with ACC Tournament picks, props and promotions from the best March Madness betting apps:

2024 ACC Tournament odds, preview and picks: North Carolina, Duke favored to win ACC crown in D.C. 

The 2024 ACC Tournament takes place at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. now through March 16. 

This year's ACC Tournament is headlined by two programs, North Carolina (+160) and Duke (+190), that are both expected to make deep runs in March Madness.

The Tar Heels are led by Wooden Award finalist and ACC Player of the Year frontrunner RJ Davis, who averaged 21.1 points per game on 41.6% 3-point shooting. Big man Armando Bacot also averaged 13.9 points and 10.1 rebounds for a team that ranked 23rd in scoring (81.6) and 19th in opponent field goal percentage (40.4).

The Blue Devils are anchored by 7-foot sophomore center Kyle Filipowski, who averaged 16.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. The team ranks seventh in KenPom’s rankings, one spot above UNC, though they lost both head-to-head matchups by 9 and 5 points, the most recent of which was the regular-season finale.

The oddsmakers pinpointed Clemson (+850), Wake Forest (+950), and Pittsburgh (+1200) as the next tier of challengers for the conference title. 

Clemson isn’t amazing at anything but is solid at mostly everything and has a Player of the Year contender in PJ Hall (18.8 points, 6.8 rebounds).

The Demon Deacons are a team of 3-point shooters (37.6% - 18th) led by guard Hunter Sallis (18.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 41.6% 3PT). They lost three of their last four games but already beat Duke and Clemson.

Wake finished the regular season on a three-game win streak and also already beat Duke. They hold opponents to just 31% 3-point shooting and have a player in Blake Hinson (18.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 42.4% 3PT) that can take over games.

Virginia (+1800) and Virginia Tech (+3000) are next in odds to win the ACC Tournament before the rest of the conference, every school of which has odds of +6500 or longer.

2024 North Carolina Tar Heels ACC Tournament odds, picks

After winning the regular-season title and beating Duke twice, No. 1 seed North Carolina is now the favorite to win the ACC Tournament. 

Of course, if all goes according to plan we'll be on a collision course for the Blue Devils and Tar Heels to meet for a third time in the championship game on Saturday. 

There's an old adage about how difficult it is to beat the same team three times in a season. If you're banking on UNC getting a similar result than it has so far, then the Tar Heels are your bet.

2024 Duke ACC Tournament odds, picks

The fact that Jon Scheyer's Duke Blue Devils are the favorite in the ACC Tournament says a lot about oddsmkers' faith in the Blue Devils. Duke lost a couple of critical games down the stretch and fell to its biggest rival twice, including at home on the final day of the regular season. 

That said, there's an opportunity to erase all of that. If Duke plays up to its potential, we're looking at the aforementioned rematch in the ACC title game.

You can get the Dukies will be favored in that matchup barring something unforeseen. So it's pretty simple: if you don't think UNC can beat Duke three times and can't see anyone else beating Duke along the way, then don't overthink it and bet the favorite.
