They say there's no place like home for the holidays.
And while that's true for family and friends, I'm not sure Perry Como was taking the spread into account when recording that Christmas classic.
Out of the 15 NFL games to be played this Christmas weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday), there are nine teams favored at home. But here at FrontPageBets, I'm taking five of those home favorites to win straight up, but not to cover.
They are: the Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
Those five teams are a combined 12-13-2 against the spread as home favorites, including the Ravens who are 0-5.
If that's not enough, I'm adding in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are favored on the road against the Arizona Cardinals, to win but not cover.
When you throw in Tampa Bay, the combined record of the six teams picked not to cover are 37-43-4 (46%) against the spread -- including the Chiefs, who are 4-9-1 ATS, and the Buccaneers, who are 3-10-1.
For the holidays, you can't beat home sweet home ...
