ANN ARBOR, Mich. — No. 17 Iowa picked up its first Big Ten-ranked road win in more than 10 years with a last-second 20-19 win over No. 18 Michigan.
The Hawkeyes (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) led for just 2:03 before scoring a go-ahead touchdown on the game's final play to upset the Wolverines (3-1, 0-1 Big Ten). Michigan outgained Iowa 429-285 and won the time of possession battle 34:29 to 25:31 in the loss.

Michigan strikes first on Underwood TD pass

After forcing punts on each of Iowa's first two drives, Michigan became the first team to find the end zone on Saturday.
Quarterback Bryce Underwood found Utah transfer JJ Buchanan from 18 yards out to put the Wolverines ahead 7-0 after a nine-play, 89-yard drive.

Michigan came out firing on the drive with Underwood completing a pair of passes to Andrew Marsh for 27 and 20 yards. Underwood also found Buchanan for a nine-yard gain three plays before the touchdown.
Iowa answers right back with kick return score

Michigan held its lead for 13 seconds — as long as it took Braeden Jackson to field the ensuing kickoff and return it 99 yards for a touchdown.
The Hawkeyes cleared a lane for Jackson up the right-hand side, and the second-year running back hit it for the score.

The Wolverines regained the lead on Trey Butkowski's field goal from 41 yards out just over two minutes into the second quarter.
The kick ended an eight-play, 59-yard drive, which saw Michigan's offense drive into Iowa territory behind gains of 22 and 11 and get a 15-yard penalty on Tyler Brown.

After an Underwood interception cut a promising Michigan drive short to open the second half, the Wolverines' defense forced a three-and-out to get the ball back on the Iowa 47.
Michigan marched down to the Iowa 4-yard line, but failed to find the end zone despite three tries inside the five. The Wolverines settled for a 22-yard field goal, which Butkowski put through the uprights for a six-point lead.
Brown, Vander Zee connect for Iowa go-ahead score

After trailing for 33 minutes of Saturday's contest, Iowa took its first lead with just over 14 minutes remaining.
Brown connected with Tony Diaz on the third play of the drive for 32 yards down to the Michigan 38, found DJ Vonnahme on a tip-drill, circus catch for 21 yards and found Reece Vander Zee for a 16-yard touchdown.
The seven-play, 75-yard drive was Iowa's longest of the game, besting the team's first drive of the game by 37 yards.
Michigan answers Iowa's go-ahead score

Michigan only needed two minutes and three seconds to regain the lead.
The Wolverines drove into Iowa territory over the first five plays of the drive and Underwood made magic on the sixth, finding Buchanan while escaping the pocket for a 49-yard touchdown connection.
Michigan failed to convert on a two-point try.
Iowa walks-off Michigan with last-play touchdown

With two seconds remaining on the clock, and a Michigan injury on the previous play, Iowa got one final chance at the end zone from the Michigan 16-yard line.
Brown put his pass on Reece Vander Zee's back shoulder for a toe-tapping touchdown to win the game on the final play.
Brown converted on passes of 13, 12 and 29 to set up the touchdown. Iowa also benefited from a late hit personal foul against Michigan to sustain the drive.
